I recently visited a bird of prey shelter near Saint-Hyacinthe. They have this bi-annual event where you can witness birds being released back into the wild, after being treated at their hospital. This little owl was not set free that day, because he was still on the mend from a broken wing. But he kept fluttering his good wing, as if greeting everyone looking at him…
Aside from the fact that it was crowded and everybody wanted to take a picture (everybody seemed to have lenses as long as their arms; I felt a bit inadequate as an aspiring professional photographer with my 24-105mm lens to be honest), I didn’t have any particular problem. I didn’t need any permission to shoot, as it was expected, and the weather was fabulous.
